Sociology Club
Interested in getting involved on campus? Want to meet more Sociology students?
Join the Sociology Club! The Sociology Club is a student group dedicated to promoting the academic and extracurricular development of Sociology majors and minors.
We hold an annual social event for students and faculty to interact in a more casual setting. The Sociology Club also plays a crucial role organizing and promoting Social Justice Week, which occurs each spring. In addition, we sponsor lectures, graduate school information sessions, career panels, and other activities that our members want to do.
Have a say in what you want to see from the Sociology Club, whether it be community service, social events, or informational panels. Drop us a line or attend our meetings.
All SSU students are invited to our meetings. We usually get together every other week for an hour during the academic year. Meeting details are shared on our social media and via email through the SOCI-Announce list.
Sociology majors and minors who are interested in developing leadership skills are strongly encouraged to participate as the Club’s President, Treasurer, and Social Media Coordinator. New officers are sought each spring semester to take the reins for the next academic year.
Check us out to learn more about your major, your classmates, and the Department. If you are interested in participating or want to know more, please email our faculty advisor Professor Zeke Baker (zeke.baker@sonoma.edu) or reach out using our details below.
