Susan Bettelheim Garfin, Ph.D.

Susan Garfin taught in the Department of Sociology at Sonoma State University from 1970-2004. She served as department chair for seven of those years. Professor Garfin was affiliated with the (now defunct) India Studies Program and with the BALS Program and taught courses in several departments other than Sociology. Her key teaching areas included Sociology of Religion, Research Methods, Theory, and Comparative Societies.
